Mark spent spent more than two decades serving as congressional tax counsel spanning four administrations. Most recently, Mark served as chief tax counsel to the Senate Finance Committee, where he handled the development and implementation of Chairman Chuck Grassley’s (R-IA) tax agenda, including advising on all aspects of federal tax, retirement, pensions and tax-administration policy. He also contributed to the development and drafting of key parts of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) as senior tax counsel in the office of Sen. John Thune (R-SD).

Mark began his financial services career in 2008 and has supported high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and their families, business owners and not-for profit organizations. He has extensive knowledge of estate, investment, trust, insurance and business succession planning strategies. Mark develops creative strategies that help clients work toward meeting their financial goals, integrating asset management, family CFO, and succession planning services with overall business and financial plans. He works with a cross-functional Rehmann team to proactively guide each client, considering tax law and efficiencies, estate planning and accounting needs along the way.

Tom leads Rehmann’s manufacturing industry group and CFO Services team, bringing significant industry knowledge and experience to help guide the team and serve our clients most effectively. Tom serves clients in an advisory capacity, providing outsourced and interim CFO services, business financing solutions, turnaround management, strategic planning, system implementations and transactional advisory services. Tom has significant experience in financial executive leadership, business financing and debt restructuring, facilitating rapid turnaround to profitability and assisting organizations through ownership transfer and leading company acquisition teams.
