Meet your Panelists


Jake Kuncaitis is Vice President of Sales at K Group Companies, a family-owned technology services company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jake leads the company’s sales organization, with responsibility for driving growth, developing sales talent, expanding into new markets, and strengthening strategic customer relationships.

As a next-generation leader in a family business, Jake has grown through multiple roles within the organization and brings a unique perspective on earning leadership opportunities while helping shape the company’s next chapter. He is passionate about building great teams, creating opportunities for people, and balancing the legacy and values of a family business with the need to continually evolve, grow, and challenge the status quo.

Outside of K Group, Jake is actively involved in the West Michigan community and youth athletics, including leading Byron Center Wrestling Club.

Melissa Satterfield is a fourth-generation member of her family businesses, Reenders, Inc. and Heritage Property Management, Inc. Throughout her career, she has gained experience in real estate development, marketing, and operations and currently serves as Director of Operations, focusing on independent living communities, marketing strategy, and affordable housing initiatives. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Grand Valley State University (MBA), Melissa is dedicated to creating communities where older adults can thrive and maintain their independence. She lives in Grand Haven with her husband and three children, whose busy extracurricular schedules keep family life active and fun.


Andrew DeWys is a 2nd generation member of his family business, DeWys Metal Solutions. Andrew is currently President at their Refab Metal Fabrication division in Grand Haven, MI. Throughout his career he has gained experience in various supply chain roles, operations, and leadership. Andrew is currently President at their Refab Metal Fabrication division that is a job shop sheet metal fabricator serving various industries. He graduated from Davenport University with a bachelor degree in Business Management. Andrew’s passion is to grow and continue learning and growing within the family business in an executive leadership role. He lives in Grand Rapids, MI and enjoys spending golfing, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
