2022 - Taming the Tensions of the Leadership Transition: Hazards Ahead
This event is brought to you in partnership with the Family-Owned Business Institute of Grand Valley State University.
About the Event:
Family enterprise is an organization that is built on paradoxes, including tradition verse change, family liquidity verse growth, and family values vs. business values. Not properly identified and managed, these tensions may inhibit growth, foster instability, and limit performance and entrepreneurial behavior.
Designed for the multigenerational family businesses, this quarterly event will explore how these paradoxes can impact the leadership transition. The leadership axis includes joining the business, learning the business, leading the business, and passing the baton. This event is designed to help you identify the hazards ahead and explore the best practices to create a successful transition.
